What Essential Oils I’m Using to Promote General Wellness

When it comes to focusing on natural health and wellness during cold and flu season, there are some great essential oil blends available for refreshing aromatherapy at home.

Deep Breathe:

Ingredients: Ravintsara, Rosemary, Pine, and Lime

This is a great blend for aromatherapy if you’re feeling congested and it’s one I use almost every morning in the shower. I like dropping some onto a small hand towel and allowing it to mix with the steam from the water and really opening up my air ways. If I’m feeling particularly congested, I’ll mix a few drops of it with a carrier oil and rub some of it on my chest to help with breaking up mucus!

Immune Strength:

Ingredients: Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark, Lemon, Orange, Oregano, Mandarin, Thyme, Rosemary, Nutmeg, Ginger Root, & Eucalyptus citriodora

Yup, this is a spicy one! Containing lots of “hot” oils, the scent really reminds me of holiday baking and so, if nothing else, I simply love diffusing it around the house. I’ve found it really helps wake my mind back up- especially if I’ve been feeling down or in a bit of a haze but it can also be helpful in supporting the immune system and loosening mucus.

Flu Time:

Ingredients: Frankincense, Peppermint, Spearmint, Cinnamon Leaf, Lime, Ginger Root, & Lavender in Fractionated Coconut Oil

While this does contain some spicy oils, it also has several calming oils, like frankincense and lavender and gives off a slightly minty scent. It’s the most relaxing of the three oils and often helps to calm down and put my mind at ease a bit.
