This past week (week and a half, actually) my handy-dandy personal I.T. guy, Mr. C, and I been working on transferring my site over from Squarespace to WordPress. I knew it would be a a lot of work and a real pain, but that it would be worth it in the long run. As I’ve been working to build this blog more and make a lot of specific changes to the layout etc I started finding difficulty in a lot of the limitations Squarespace had. Transferring the data was a ton of work and sometimes head-bashing-ly monotonous but we officially made the transfer over on Friday evening. We are still making changes and adjustments, but I hope you like what you see so far! I’m very excited 😀
It isn’t even June yet, and I can honestly say that I’ve gone to more BBQ’s and picnics than I ever have in a single summer. If we are being completely honest here, I’d have to say that having a car makes event-attending and BBQ-going so much better!
Every year, Mr. C’s friends have BBQ’s up in the Bronx during the summer and while we can get there by train, it just takes a lot of time and is annoying if you’re carrying food or drinks or supplies (not to mention coming back late at night can be tiresome with the infrequent service). This year, with the car though, we’ve been driving and it’s been amazing! I’m able to pack growlers full of beer and snacks and cakes and just about anything my foodie heart desires!
Last Sunday we went up for a Memorial Day BBQ up in the Bronx (Monday we had a different one to go to which will be in the next post).
My camera was apparently interesting and was quickly taken over by the little one on the right (she asked, of course) so here’s one of the photos she took.
I’m not usually the most photogenic.
She was too cute!
